The Spain Oman Private Equity Fund (SOPEF), established by the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and Spanish state-owned company Cofides, has committed to invest up to 40 million euros in Making Science Marketing & AdTech, a subsidiary of the Spanish digital marketing leader, Making Science Group. This investment, planned over the next two years, aims to enhance the subsidiary’s capabilities in data analytics, ad campaign optimization, and user experience personalization.
SOPEF, which was created to bolster economic cooperation and strengthen ties between Spain and Oman by investing in high-growth potential Spanish companies, targets sectors like renewable energy, technology, infrastructure, and healthcare.
José Manuel Bartolomé, Director of SOPEF, highlighted the strategic fit of Making Science, noting its growth potential, mission to lead, and international perspective, all within the burgeoning digital marketing sector. José Antonio Martínez Aguilar, Founder and CEO of Making Science, expressed gratitude for the support from the Omani sovereign wealth fund, emphasizing that this investment boosts their competitive edge globally and facilitates expansion into the Middle East.
