Digital Sharjah Platform Surpasses 952,000 Transactions, Demonstrates Rapid Growth

Since its launch in 2021, the ‘Digital Sharjah’ platform, developed by the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD), has facilitated over 952,000 transactions worth AED 41.5 million ($11.3 million) and attracted more than 95,000 users. This platform continues to advance digital life in the emirate by offering over 60 integrated services from 19 local, federal, and private entities, streamlining access for residents and visitors.

As of July 2024, the platform recorded a 31% quarterly growth in transactions, and user registrations soared from 2,992 to approximately 95,000. The website has seen over 2.5 million visits since February 2020, and the application has experienced a remarkable 615% increase in downloads, reaching nearly 100,000 on Android and iOS devices.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, highlighted the platform’s success as a result of close collaboration with government and private partners, providing a reliable and high-quality digital experience. The platform’s continuous development aligns with the emirate’s goals to support digital transformation and enhance competitiveness on local and international indices.

The Digital Sharjah platform employs the latest technologies to ensure quick, secure, and easy access to services, initially focusing on sectors like transportation, real estate, business, security, utilities, social services, and public services. This ongoing growth and development reflect SDD’s commitment to meeting the needs of citizens, residents, and visitors while exceeding their expectations.
