National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has introduced a pioneering service in Kuwait, allowing customers to confirm payment transactions online directly through the NBK Mobile Banking App. This service, named NBK Secure Shopping, eliminates the need for One Time Passwords (OTP) and streamlines the payment process, making it faster and more secure.
NBK Secure Shopping is available to holders of NBK Debit Cards for international spending, as well as NBK Foreign Currency Prepaid and Multi-Currency Prepaid Cards. To use this service, customers must enable NBK Push Notifications, after which they can initiate purchases directly through the app. Upon making a purchase, customers will receive a push notification prompting them to confirm the payment within the app through a few simple steps. If push notifications are not enabled, customers can still confirm payments manually within the app.

The app is readily available for download on various platforms including the App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery, ensuring accessibility for all users. This new feature underscores NBK’s ongoing efforts to enhance digital banking and meet customer expectations effectively.
