QIB Enhances Mobile App with New International Transfer and Investment Features

Doha: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), the leading digital bank in Qatar, has announced the introduction of innovative features to its award-winning Mobile App, aiming to provide customers with enhanced convenience, control, and security in managing their finances.

The updated QIB Mobile App now supports international wallet transfers, including Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transfers to India and Mobile Wallet Payments to Egypt, streamlining cross-border transactions for its diverse customer base.

Seamless UPI Transfers to India

The newly added UPI transfer feature enables real-time, account-to-account money transfers to India using a recipient’s UPI ID. This service allows QIB customers to send funds instantly and effortlessly, offering significant convenience to Indian nationals residing in Qatar who wish to remit money back home swiftly.

Instant Mobile Wallet Transfers to Egypt

QIB has also introduced Mobile Wallet transfers to Egypt, facilitating immediate fund transfers to any mobile wallet in the country using registered local mobile numbers. This feature provides a secure and efficient method for customers with connections to Egypt to send money, thereby enhancing financial inclusion and accessibility.

Simplified Dividend Payments with EDAA NIN & IBAN Linking

In addition to international transfer services, the app now offers an EDAA NIN & IBAN Linking feature designed to simplify the process of receiving dividend payments through the EDAA platform. Investors in the Qatar Stock Exchange can conveniently link their National Investor Number (NIN) with their QIB International Bank Account Number (IBAN) directly via the Mobile App. This integration ensures that dividends are promptly and automatically credited to their accounts, reducing the occurrence of unclaimed dividends.
