Ooredoo Kuwait Launches Flexible Work Initiatives to Enhance Employee Well-Being and Productivity

Ooredoo Kuwait continues its efforts to improve its internal work environment by introducing policies and programs that prioritize employee well-being. As part of this initiative, the company has launched two new programs—”Flexible Working Hours” and “Remote Work”—aimed at fostering a healthier work-life balance, especially with the start of the new academic year. These programs align with global standards, demonstrating Ooredoo’s commitment to enhancing job satisfaction and productivity.

Chief Human Resources Officer Omar Al Bassam highlighted the company’s dedication to providing a comfortable and flexible work environment. “The new flexible working hours program empowers employees to choose their preferred work schedule, helping them achieve a better balance between their professional and personal lives,” said Al Bassam. Employees are allowed to arrive at work between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM and leave between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM, ensuring they complete an eight-hour workday.

The initiatives were designed to address challenges like traffic congestion, which can impact employees’ ability to manage their responsibilities effectively. By offering more flexible options, Ooredoo aims to improve both employee comfort and productivity.

Investing in Human Capital

Ooredoo Kuwait remains focused on investing in its human capital, which it views as the foundation of its success. Through various training and development programs, the company equips employees with the skills they need to thrive, whether they are new hires or in leadership roles. Al Bassam emphasized the importance of these efforts, stating, “Our employees are the driving force behind our success, and we are committed to supporting their professional growth.”

“Because We Care About Our Employees” Initiative

As part of its “Because We Care About Our Employees” initiative, Ooredoo has also introduced a “Remote Work” program. Employees can work from home two days a month with the approval of their supervisor, enhancing flexibility while maintaining productivity through virtual meetings and adherence to deadlines.

Al Bassam concluded, “We believe that a supportive and flexible work environment is key to fostering creativity and success. Ooredoo will continue to innovate and develop programs that promote the well-being of our employees, ensuring their long-term success and the success of the company.”
