DMCC Unveils AI Centre to Propel Artificial Intelligence Innovation in Dubai

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has inaugurated the DMCC AI Centre, a cutting-edge facility designed to propel the practical adoption and development of artificial intelligence (AI) across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Situated in Uptown Tower, the centre spans two floors and joins the DMCC Crypto Centre and DMCC Gaming Centre in a newly integrated hub.

The AI Centre offers a modern space equipped with advanced co-working areas, high-tech meeting rooms, and an exclusive AI solution showroom. During the launch event, attended by over 60 distinguished guests including Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, and Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, Chief AI Officer of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, DMCC showcased the unique services and benefits of the new centre.

Khalfan Belhoul highlighted the UAE’s ambition to become a global AI leader by 2031, as outlined in the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. He noted that the DMCC AI Centre plays a crucial role in this vision by enhancing Dubai’s status as an innovation hub and attracting pioneering companies in AI and emerging technologies.

DMCC is already a base for over 50 AI and robotics companies globally, including industry giants such as AMD and Autel Robotics. To further enrich its offerings, DMCC has partnered with leading AI firms like Builder.ai, which will assist DMCC members in developing apps using AI, and AGCC, which will run accelerator programs to promote top AI technology globally.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, expressed that AI is poised to add significantly to the global economy and its potential to transform global trade and business operations is immense. The DMCC AI Centre aims to leverage this potential by providing a world-class ecosystem for accessing top AI services and solutions from Dubai.

Sachin Dev Duggal, Founder of Builder.ai, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing AI’s transformative impact on industries and its role in empowering businesses with digital capabilities. Through collaboration with DMCC, Builder.ai is set to make AI solutions more accessible and effective for businesses across various sectors.
