Polymatech Electronics Ltd has revealed plans to launch a new $16 million semiconductor manufacturing plant in the Industrial Area of Hidd, Bahrain. Named Atri, the facility will primarily produce components for 5G and 6G technologies, marking a significant phase in Polymatech’s global expansion efforts.
This announcement was made during Bahrain’s investment promotion agency roadshows in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai, aimed at positioning Bahrain as a key hub for technology and manufacturing.
Eswara Rao Nandam, Managing Director and CEO of Polymatech Electronics, stated that the Bahrain operation is a strategic move to scale the company’s production capabilities and address the increasing global demand for advanced semiconductors. Polymatech specializes in the entire lifecycle of opto-semiconductor chips, covering design, fabrication, manufacturing, packaging, and assembly, catering to direct customer sales and their luminaire assembly needs.
