Sabre Corporation Partners with Omani Government for Digital Transformation in Travel Management

Sabre Corporation, a global leader in travel technology, has announced a partnership with the Diwan of Royal Court, Royal Court Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oman. This collaboration aims to conduct a series of workshops designed to support Oman’s digital transformation efforts, particularly in enhancing the travel management capabilities of these government entities.

The training sessions, held at Sabre’s regional headquarters in Bahrain, mark the first such initiative between Sabre and the Omani government. Over two weeks, government officials will be trained on advanced tools such as Sabre 360 Graphical View and the New Distribution Capability (NDC), with a focus on automating processes and improving operational efficiency.

Ramzi Al Qassab, Managing Director at Sabre Travel Network Middle East, expressed pride in this initiative, emphasizing Sabre’s commitment to empowering the Omani government with the necessary technology and skills to optimize travel management practices. “This partnership not only boosts operational efficiency but also continues to build on the trust and reliability that have defined our relationship for over 15 years,” said Al Qassab.

Salam Al Hadhrami, Director of the Travel Services Department at Royal Court Affairs, highlighted the significance of the partnership with Sabre in evolving their travel management strategies. “The training sessions offer our teams critical skills and insights, allowing us to leverage cutting-edge technologies and best practices effectively,” Al Hadhrami noted.

Aisha Al Balushi, Head of the Ticketing Department at the Diwan of Royal Court, also emphasized the importance of these sessions in achieving digital transformation goals. “By equipping our staff with advanced tools to automate manual tasks, we are significantly enhancing operational efficiency and supporting Oman’s ambition for a digitally advanced government,” she stated.

Nawaf Al Sadri from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out the broader impact of this initiative on Oman’s travel sector. “This collaboration is instrumental in optimizing our operations and preparing us for future challenges through digitalization and best practices,” Al Sadri explained.

As Oman pioneers these strategic training programs, it sets a new regional standard in government travel management, positioning itself as a leader in digital transformation.
