The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade in Egypt held discussions with Microsoft to explore collaboration in digital transformation and database integration, according to an official statement.
In a meeting between Minister of Supply Sherif Farouk and Mirna Arif, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt, the two parties examined ways to enhance government services and boost investments in information technology. This initiative aligns with the Egyptian government’s broader efforts to promote digital transformation and improve technological infrastructure across various sectors.
The discussions also included reviewing existing partnerships between the ministry, the Holding Company for Food Industries (HCFI), and Microsoft, which involve automating processes in consumer complexes and wholesale warehouses.
Both sides emphasized expanding cooperation on new projects aimed at improving government efficiency and integrating databases to achieve full digital transformation. Additionally, they underscored the importance of adopting innovative technological solutions to promote better market regulation and disciplined trade practices.
