Al Wusta Governorate has officially launched a new electronic portal as part of its digital transformation initiatives. The unveiling took place in the presence of Shaikh Ahmed bin Muslim Jaddad al Kathiri, the Governor of Al Wusta, alongside various officials from the governorate and its affiliated divisions.
The Governor emphasized the significance of digital transformation, noting its strategic role in enhancing the quality of digital services provided to both internal staff and all beneficiaries accessing the electronic portal and its diverse applications.
A key feature of the launch is the governorate’s visual identity, inspired by the map of Al Wusta and its four wilayats. The design utilizes symbolic colors representing the unique characteristics of each wilayat: yellow for the golden sands of Haima and the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary, green for the fertile land and mangrove trees of Mahout, blue for the economic seaports of Duqm, and red for the vibrant arts and pink lakes of Al Jazir.
The electronic portal offers various services for visitors and users, including an overview of the governorate, electronic services, a “Discover Al Wusta” section, a media center, open data access, and contact information. Additionally, a mobile application for the electronic portal has been launched.
As part of the internal digital transformation, an Office System for employees was introduced, with the first message sent out to congratulate staff on the new system’s launch, aimed at facilitating work and boosting productivity.
The event featured video clips showcasing the new visual identity, electronic portal, and available services, along with a special guide for using the visual identity. These systems are now available for public use and benefit starting from the launch day.
In an interview with the Observer, Dr. Hashim al Balushi, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs at Al Wusta Governorate and Head of the Digital Transformation Program Team, stated that these digital transformation systems signify a significant advancement in service delivery. He highlighted the importance of the electronic portal and the Office System designed for employees.
Furthermore, the launch included the promotional visual identity of Al Wusta Governorate, aimed at enhancing marketing efforts to attract investment and engage a wider audience of visitors and guests.
