Digital Dubai has initiated the Digital Skills Survey in response to the rapid advancements in digital technologies and its mission to empower society digitally in Dubai.
The survey aims to collect insights from both public and private sector organizations regarding their digital talent needs and to identify potential skills gaps. It will also map digital skills against current and future demands, exploring how organizations identify, attract, and develop the necessary skills for digital transformation.
This year, the survey has expanded its focus to include AI-related skills, assessing the demand for such expertise, identifying gaps, and examining the recruitment strategies employed by organizations in both sectors. Additionally, it will investigate the mechanisms used to develop and nurture talent in the digital landscape.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, emphasized the importance of adapting to the evolving nature of required skills, stating, “As digital innovations accelerate, the nature of required skills constantly evolves. Public and private sector organizations must not only keep pace with these changes but also anticipate future demands.”
He added, “This survey builds on the insights gained from the Digital Skills Study conducted two years ago, which provided valuable information about digital skills in Dubai. These findings have been critical in supporting Dubai’s digital transformation and strengthening its digital economy in alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”
