A delegation led by Bader Hood Al Mahmood, Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, represented Bahrain at the 26th GCC Ministerial Committee Meeting on Transportation held in Doha. This meeting brought together transportation ministers from GCC member states.
The delegation also included Hussain Ali Yaqoob, Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed various agenda items and discussed the implementation of decisions related to cooperation in land and maritime transport among GCC states. Key topics included the GCC Railway Authority, the operational plan for the railway project, the land transport strategy, and green corridor initiatives for ports.
Bader Hood emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and integration among GCC countries in the transportation sector, highlighting its crucial role in supporting economic development and growth within the region.
