Fonepay, Nepal’s largest interoperable payment network, has launched its first virtual credit card, marking a significant milestone in the country’s digital payment landscape. Developed in partnership with Compass Plus Technologies, this new service provides a tailored digital credit solution for Nepal’s financial institutions.
The virtual credit card is accessible through mobile banking apps of partnering institutions and is accepted by over 1.5 million merchants. It operates under Fonepay’s mobile payment system, with local banks already utilizing the service, and additional banks expected to join soon.
