Dareesoft Completes Successful PoC for AI-Based Road Hazard Service in Dubai, Expands to the Middle East

Dareesoft, an AI-driven real-time road hazard data provider, has successfully completed a proof of concept (PoC) for its AI-powered RiaaS (Road Hazard Information as a Service) in Dubai, UAE. The demonstration showcased the system’s ability to detect over 2,000 road hazards in real-time. Following this success, Dareesoft announced on December 25 its plans to expand its sales network across the Middle East, starting with the UAE and extending to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.

RiaaS, an all-in-one road safety solution, provides real-time hazard data to both drivers and road managers via an AI-powered road analysis device installed in vehicles. The system can detect 12 types of road hazards, including potholes, cracks, and fallen objects, while vehicles are in motion. This solution is applicable in various sectors, including road maintenance, smart city initiatives, vehicle control, mapping, navigation, and insurance.

Elizabeth Row, CEO of Dareesoft, commented, “The RiaaS has already been adopted by several local governments in Korea, including the Seoul metropolitan government, to reduce traffic accidents and improve pedestrian safety. As roads worldwide are rapidly aging, there is an urgent need for enhanced safety measures for both drivers and pedestrians. We aim to leverage this success to become a leading provider of AI-powered road risk data solutions in the Middle Eastern market.”

Founded in 2020, Dareesoft is the world’s first company to commercialize an AI-powered road hazard service. The company, with 70% of its workforce dedicated to R&D, holds 12 key patents, focusing on technologies such as AIoT, connectivity, and big data.
