Dell Technologies has introduced a suite of AI innovations designed to simplify AI adoption, speed deployment, and power demanding workloads in multicloud environments for Dell and Microsoft customers. With new advancements in data protection, cyber resiliency, and security, joint customers can strengthen their cybersecurity posture and enhance AI performance.
“Organizations modernizing their IT strategies to support emerging workloads, like AI, need solutions that help them innovate faster, control costs, and protect data across multicloud environments,” said Arthur Lewis, president of Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell Technologies. “Our storage software, data protection, and services advancements help customers in Microsoft environments accelerate their transformation quickly and securely.”
Accelerating AI Adoption and Performance
Dell Technologies expands its AI offerings through the Dell AI Factory, developed in collaboration with AI ecosystem partner, Microsoft. A key component of this expansion is the introduction of Dell APEX File Storage for Microsoft Azure, which will soon offer a Dell-managed option for simplified deployment and management. This solution provides enterprise-class performance, scalability, and data services, making it ideal for AI workloads in multicloud environments.
Key benefits include:
- Burst capacity for AI workloads that require high performance, with architecture designed for exceptional performance density and scale.
- Reduced management complexity, providing seamless data mobility and operational consistency across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Faster time to data-driven insights through native integration with Microsoft AI tools.
Additionally, Dell introduces new services aimed at simplifying AI adoption and helping businesses develop custom AI solutions. Accelerator Services for Copilot+ PCs, for example, show how Copilot+ PCs can boost productivity and efficiency. Services for Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Studio assist in developing and implementing Copilot agents and AI solutions tailored to specific business needs. Implementation Services for Microsoft Azure AI Service further support AI application development on Dell hybrid cloud solutions for Azure.
Comprehensive Data Protection and Cybersecurity Solutions
Dell Technologies has also unveiled significant advancements in data protection, cyber resiliency, and security for Microsoft customers. Dell APEX Protection Services for Microsoft Azure offers AI-powered cloud data protection and cyber resiliency, ensuring robust protection across edge locations, remote offices, and data centers. This service enhances operational efficiency and resource usage while providing advanced data reduction capabilities.
Key features include:
- Enhanced cyber resiliency with zero trust security, including immutability, encryption, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls.
- Protection against ransomware and cyberthreats with efficient recovery options for traditional and modern workloads.
- Accelerated cyber recovery with AI-powered CyberSense threat intelligence, reducing recovery time by up to 80%.
Dell also introduced new security services for Microsoft environments, such as Advisory Services for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which helps customers align their cybersecurity posture with CMMC guidelines. Managed Detection and Response with Microsoft allows Dell experts to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to threats 24/7, giving customers peace of mind while focusing on their core business.
“Our customers are looking for ways to modernize their IT infrastructure and adopt hybrid cloud services safely and securely,” said Aung Oo, VP of Azure Storage at Microsoft. “Dell Technologies is enabling them to bring their existing knowledge, trusted platforms, and enterprise data to Azure to accelerate the adoption of critical technologies, including Azure AI Services.”
