In collaboration with the French Embassy in Morocco, the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication has launched the “Video Game Creator” training program, designed to enhance the professional and managerial skills of young Moroccans. This initiative, which runs from January 6 to October 3, 2025, aims to strengthen Morocco’s position in the gaming industry.
The program, supported by a partnership between the two countries, is part of the Declaration of Intent signed last October under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron. It is designed to foster the development of the gaming ecosystem in Morocco, with a focus on bridging social and territorial disparities by offering full tuition coverage, employment opportunities, and accommodation.
Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid emphasized the program’s potential to reverse the brain drain and provide young Moroccans with the skills needed to create a global impact in the gaming sector. He highlighted gaming’s potential to drive economic opportunities and cultural storytelling, enabling Morocco to become a key player in both the African and global video game markets.
The program is carried out in partnership with prestigious institutions, including ISART Digital, UIR, and the Institut Supérieur des Métiers de l’Audiovisuel et du Cinéma. With this collaboration, Morocco is poised to build a sustainable and competitive gaming industry, attracting studios and investors from around the world.
