Muscat – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, in collaboration with Muscat Municipality, launched the “Lease Contracts Service” via the Oman Business Platform on Monday. The platform also introduced the Financial Reports Service and the Interactive Guide Service for trade names, aiming to streamline business operations and attract investors.
The new services are designed to facilitate business activities, encourage the establishment of projects that support the national economy, and enhance economic growth. The launch is part of Oman’s comprehensive digital transition initiative and aims to apply best international practices in the business environment.
The ceremony, held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, was attended by key officials including Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Ahmed Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality. The Oman Business Platform now connects 48 government institutions, facilitating data exchange and licensing procedures, with 32 institutions providing data access and 14 involved in licensing.
This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing innovation and digitalization within Oman’s business sector, further supporting the nation’s economic diversification goals.
