RIYADH: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has introduced a new version of the “Nusuk” portal, now offering more than 100 additional services.
Nusuk is the first official platform for planning, booking, and organizing Hajj and Umrah trips to Makkah, Madinah, and other destinations. The portal allows pilgrims from around the world to seamlessly arrange every aspect of their visit, from obtaining an eVisa to booking hotels and flights.
In 2024, the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims surpassed 18.5 million, with over 13 million visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
The Saudi Minister of Hajj emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering exceptional services to Hajj pilgrims. He noted that a century ago, only 50,000 pilgrims performed Hajj annually, a number that has since grown to 2 million each year.
The introduction of digital solutions has significantly modernized Hajj operations, making the pilgrimage more convenient and fulfilling for attendees. Saudi officials have also visited 33 countries to understand pilgrims’ needs and to craft a comprehensive plan for Hajj operations extending to 2024.
Serving the Guests of Allah remains the kingdom’s highest priority, with preparations for Hajj beginning every year on the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah.
With advanced digital infrastructure, Hajj management is now more efficient and well-organized.
The fourth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition was recently launched in Jeddah, underscoring the continuous improvements in Hajj arrangements by Saudi Arabia.
