Ministry of Education Launches Digital Fingerprint System to Streamline Employee Attendance

The Ministry of Education has launched the first phase of its new digital fingerprint system to track employee attendance and departure, marking a significant step towards digital transformation in employee management. The system, which operates through the ministry’s smart application, replaces traditional fingerprint devices by utilizing advanced technologies like facial recognition and GPS geolocation for accurate and secure data tracking.

The first phase is being implemented at the ministry’s general office, educational districts, and central administrations. The second phase will expand the system to all ministry employees, including those in school administrations.

The digital system enables employees to log their attendance using smartphones, with GPS tracking ensuring they are at the designated work location. The user-friendly interface of the system is designed to offer high security, with encrypted data to ensure privacy and accuracy.

The system also provides various departments with instant reports on attendance, departure times, and working hours, improving transparency and efficiency in monitoring employee performance.

The Ministry of Education explained that the first phase aims to enhance operational efficiency within the general office, educational districts, and central departments. The second phase will extend the system to school departments, ensuring uniformity across the entire ministry.

This new system is expected to lower operational costs, simplify administrative processes, and enhance the sustainability of institutional work. It also aligns with the Ministry’s vision of creating a modern, efficient work environment to improve administrative services.
