Krafters, a tech-driven platform focused on business establishment and development services for home-based workers, has entered into a strategic partnership with IDEA to promote youth empowerment through enterprise and livelihood development. The collaboration aims to foster sustainable entrepreneurship under the HUB app-based initiative, benefiting youth involved in IDEA’s TREE project.
The agreement, formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Syed Zahid Ali Shah, CEO of Krafters, and Ismail Mohammad, Project Manager of the TREE project at IDEA, outlines plans for training and capacity building. The partnership will initially engage the IDEA TREE project beneficiaries, creating a foundation for sustainable development in various sectors, including financial inclusion, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship.
Krafters, which has built a network of over 9,000 home-based workers, offers a digital platform to guide individuals through the process of business establishment and development, skill enhancement, startup creation, and market linkages. The first phase of training will onboard skilled youth onto the HUB portal, providing them with essential guidance on business registration, financial inclusion, and market linkages.
The training will include specialized sessions on enterprise development, product innovation, and marketing strategies. The first batch of 50 youth will benefit from this comprehensive program.
Additionally, Krafters has extended its reach to the marginalized transgender community, offering them training in various skills such as embroidery, stitching, beautician training, and cooking, while also providing e-commerce skills to help them grow their home-based businesses. This initiative aligns with Pakistan’s 5e framework for empowerment, e-governance, and equity.
Syed Zahid Ali Shah emphasized that the partnership marks a major step toward building resilient businesses and creating brighter futures for youth by providing opportunities and driving transformation.
