Turkcell’s AI-P5G: Artificial Intelligence-Supported Optimization in Cloud-Based 5G Network Management project has been awarded support by TÜBİTAK. This makes Turkcell the first and only telecom company to receive backing under TÜBİTAK’s Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem program. The project is aimed at enhancing 5G network management through artificial intelligence, marking a significant advancement in both technology and digital transformation.
The AI-P5G project is part of TÜBİTAK’s TEYDEB 1711 Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Program, which launched in 2022. This initiative focuses on transforming artificial intelligence technologies into practical products and solutions while strengthening the national technological ecosystem. Turkcell’s R&D study is one of the 11 projects supported by TÜBİTAK’s 2024 Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem program.
Prof. Dr. Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, Deputy General Manager of Network Technologies at Turkcell, commented, “As Turkcell, we continue to lead Turkey’s digital transformation with projects focused on AI and 5G. This project, which has received TÜBİTAK’s support, will contribute to the digital transformation of multiple sectors while fostering academic and technological advancements.” The AI-P5G project aims to create a highly automated smart communication infrastructure that utilizes machine learning techniques to predict and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of the network. This innovation will serve as a platform for future technology applications and strengthen Turkey’s tech ecosystem.
