Jordan to Host 2025 Regional Development Forum for Arab States and Regional Preparatory Meeting for WTDC

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) in Jordan is set to host the 2025 Regional Development Forum for Arab States (RDF-ARB) next week, along with the Regional Preparatory Meeting for the World Telecommunications Development Conference (RPM-ARB). These events will underscore Jordan’s central role in fostering collaboration and advancing telecommunications across the Arab world.

Scheduled for Monday, the RDF-ARB will provide a vital platform for discussions on regional issues in the telecommunications and ICT sectors. The forum aims to promote partnerships and collaboration between Arab member states, industry leaders, policymakers, academic representatives, and regional and international development organizations.

Bassam Sarhan, Chairman of the TRC, emphasized that the forum is an essential opportunity for fostering collaboration around critical regional issues, contributing to the development of telecommunications in the Arab world. Following the forum, the RPM-ARB will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, focusing on preparations for the World Telecommunications Development Conference (WTDC-25) later this year in Baku, Azerbaijan. This meeting will focus on boosting coordination between member states, defining regional priorities, and addressing key challenges in telecommunications and ICT development in the region.

The TRC’s hosting of these significant events highlights Jordan’s commitment to aligning Arab and regional positions in international telecommunications discussions, reinforcing its role as a key player in shaping the future of ICT development globally.
