TAWASOL Group Sees Revenue Growth Despite Challenges in 2024

In 2024, TAWASOL Group recorded revenues of 84.3 million dinars, marking an 8.5% increase compared to the previous year. While local turnover sales saw a decline of 16%, primarily due to the discontinuation of the unprofitable optical fiber business, this decision is part of a strategic shift toward higher value-added activities aimed at improving profitability in the long term.

Sales in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were significantly impacted by the armed conflict in the eastern region, adverse weather conditions, and market saturation in the first three quarters of the year, despite a strong initial performance.

The Telecom Network segment saw annual sales of 19.7 million dinars, a slight decline of 1.4% from 2023, but export sales within this segment grew by 5.4%, reaching 14.4 million dinars. Retel, part of TAWASOL, focused on diversifying its customer base and expanding across Africa, with a 29% increase in revenues in 2024, driven by high-value projects in the region.

UTS-PALMA, which specializes in the extrusion of aluminum profiles, saw a 4.4% increase in cumulative sales, recovering lost ground from previous years.

TAWASOL Group’s strategic focus on high-value projects and geographic diversification, especially in Africa, continues to drive growth and long-term profitability despite temporary setbacks in some markets.
