TRENDS Research & Advisory Hosts High-Level Panel Discussion on AI and Research with Egyptian Senate Leaders

TRENDS Research & Advisory organized a high-level panel discussion with Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, President of the Egyptian Senate, and several Senate leaders and committee undersecretaries. The session, held at the Egyptian Senate headquarters in Cairo, focused on the pivotal role of research in legislation, countering extremist narratives, and the importance of AI research in shaping the future of knowledge-driven progress.

The discussion emphasized the contributions of think tanks and research institutions in fostering innovation, technological advancement, and sustainable development. Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek commended TRENDS for its intellectual and research efforts, particularly in AI and advanced technology, and highlighted the importance of cooperation between research and legislative institutions to drive digital transformation.

Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, reiterated TRENDS’ commitment to being at the forefront of scientific research and purposeful knowledge, with AI as a transformative tool for reshaping societies and achieving sustainable development. Dr. Sama Suleiman, Undersecretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Egyptian Senate, also stressed the importance of collaboration with think tanks to support public policy and decision-making.

At the end of the session, Dr. Al-Ali presented Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek with the TRENDS Research Medal in recognition of his support for scientific research and his contributions to the legislative and legal fields. The event was part of TRENDS’ fourth participation in the Cairo International Book Fair.
