Zong 4G, a leader in technological innovation, has proudly partnered with Dawn Media Group for the ‘Breathe Pakistan International Climate Change Conference,’ a two-day event held on February 6th and 7th, 2025, at the Islamabad Convention Centre. This conference brought together international and local government bodies, corporate leaders, experts, and innovators committed to shaping a sustainable future and making Pakistan climate-resilient.
The conference was a collaborative effort with principal partners including the United Nations, the Government of Punjab, and KPK. It featured over 15 dynamic sessions with more than 90 speakers from 11 countries, all united in their efforts to make Pakistan climate-resilient by 2047.
A key highlight was the ‘Roundtable Symposium: Igniting a Dialogue Between Government & Corporate Sector on A New Blueprint for Climate Resilience in Pakistan.’ This session was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Ishaq Dar and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, alongside corporate executives, including Zong 4G’s Head of Strategy, Communication & Sustainability, Nabila Yazdani.

Zong 4G has been a pioneer in green energy, solarizing over 1,000 cell sites and operating more than 12,000 sites on lithium-ion batteries to reduce its carbon footprint while maintaining seamless connectivity. The company has also prioritized energy-efficient, Rated-3 certified data centers, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition to its efforts in green energy, Zong has been a key player in disaster relief, restoring connectivity during the recent floods in Sindh and Balochistan, supporting families, rescue teams, and government agencies, and establishing over 30 free medical camps providing more than 13,000 consultations in affected regions.
