VEON Banglalink, in collaboration with Huawei, has successfully completed the first commercial deployment of Huawei’s Invisible Antenna at the Banglalink Office Building in Bangladesh. This marks a significant achievement in improving indoor network coverage and enhancing wireless connectivity.
The deployment of Huawei’s Invisible Antenna addresses key challenges in indoor coverage by overcoming the limitations of traditional antennas, which often result in poor performance due to low gains and reliance on multiple components like RF cables. These traditional setups are not only costly but also time-consuming and environmentally unfriendly.
The new Invisible Antenna, which uses Huawei’s unique Metal Mesh material, is compact, lightweight, and transparent, providing a more efficient solution for indoor coverage. Test results show that the average coverage improved by 6 dB after the antenna’s deployment, greatly enhancing the indoor network performance of VEON Banglalink.
Looking ahead, VEON Banglalink plans to expand the deployment of Invisible Antennas to further improve indoor coverage across its network, ensuring better service quality and a more seamless connectivity experience for its users. This innovation is a testament to Banglalink’s commitment to driving technological advancements and improving network performance in the region.
