Ericsson Showcases Future Connectivity Solutions at LEAP 2025, Reinforcing Saudi Vision 2030 Commitment

Ericsson showcased its leadership in innovation and technology under the theme “Step Forward: Discover the Unfolding Future” at the LEAP 2025 conference, which concluded on 12 February at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center. The company presented its commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 by highlighting advanced solutions and innovations in 5G, AI, and network infrastructure.

During the four-day event, Ericsson’s booth featured interactive demonstrations, technical sessions, and panel discussions on the latest advancements across 5G technology and industrial automation, including the introduction of a 5G-powered robot designed to boost industrial processes. These demonstrations further emphasized the company’s long-standing partnership with Saudi Arabian service providers, enterprises, and government entities, marking over four decades of collaboration.

Håkan Cervell, Vice President and Head of Saudi Arabia at Ericsson Middle East and Africa, highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure, promoting sustainability, and enabling progress through advanced connectivity solutions. Ericsson also reinforced its regional collaborations, including its recent partnership with Batelco, a part of the Beyon Group in Bahrain.

As part of this collaboration, Ericsson worked with Batelco to expand its mobile broadband network, focusing on enhancing 5G and 4G capabilities, strengthening network coverage and capacity across Bahrain. This included deploying the latest radio access network (RAN) products and modernizing Ericsson Core to handle the growing demands for voice and data traffic. Batelco’s CTO, Rashed Mohamed, emphasized that the expansion is a key part of delivering cutting-edge digital services and improving user experiences.

Nicolas Blixell, Vice President and Head of Gulf Council Countries at Ericsson, underscored how leveraging Ericsson’s technology would enhance Bahrain’s digital infrastructure and improve connectivity for Batelco’s customers.
