Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CST) has announced a $100 million partnership with SCIT Group (Space Communications for Information Technology) through SKYFive Arabia. This groundbreaking initiative, which will unfold over the next three years, aims to revolutionize Air-to-Ground (A2G) communication technology, improving aviation safety, efficiency, and connectivity across the Kingdom and beyond.
The investment will be used to deploy next-generation A2G solutions, modernize the region’s infrastructure, and position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in aviation technology. Key areas of focus include expanding in-flight broadband for passengers, enhancing airline operations through real-time data exchange, and building a fully integrated A2G ecosystem.
The project will also focus on expanding A2G networks across Saudi Arabia and neighboring regions, as well as exploring international expansion. SCIT Group plans to foster local talent through training programs and partnerships, accelerating technology transfer and innovation.
