Elon Musk, the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency and owner of satellite internet provider Starlink, has expressed his enthusiasm about launching Starlink in Bangladesh. This development follows a productive meeting between Musk and Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Prof. Muhammad Yunus, which was shared publicly on X.
Prof. Yunus posted, “Had a great meeting with Mr. @elonmusk. We agreed to work together and hope to launch Starlink in Bangladesh soon.” Musk responded with a hopeful message: “Looking forward to it!”
A statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Thursday confirmed that the two leaders had engaged in extensive discussions about how Starlink could boost connectivity in Bangladesh, particularly for youth, rural communities, underprivileged women, and remote areas.
Prof. Yunus also extended an invitation to Musk to visit Bangladesh for the possible launch of Starlink, an offer Musk warmly accepted, reinforcing the promising partnership between the two.
