Etihad Salam Telecom Partners with EdgeNext to Enhance Telecommunications in Saudi Arabia

Etihad Salam Telecom has announced a strategic partnership with EdgeNext at LEAP 2025, aiming to bolster the competitive telecommunications environment in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the objectives set by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT).

The partnership focuses on enhancing EdgeNext’s service delivery and network capabilities in the region. As a starting point, the two companies have signed a cornerstone agreement that involves EdgeNext co-locating their servers in Etihad Salam Telecom’s state-of-the-art data centers. This arrangement offers EdgeNext competitive colocation and specialized internet access, providing them with secure and reliable physical infrastructure to optimize performance and scalability.

Additionally, EdgeNext will procure internet services directly from Etihad Salam Telecom, ensuring access to robust and high-speed internet connectivity, essential for their operations. The partnership further strengthens EdgeNext’s position with a peering connection to the Saudi Internet Exchange, improving their network interconnectivity and access to the local digital ecosystem.

Amjad Arab, Chief Wholesale and Partnerships Officer at Etihad Salam Telecom, remarked, “Our partnership with EdgeNext embodies our commitment to not only meeting but exceeding the digital needs of our society. Through this collaboration, we are setting new benchmarks for connectivity and innovation in telecommunications and content localization.”

Dajiang Li, General Manager at EdgeNext, added, “Joining forces with Etihad Salam Telecom accelerates our mission to deliver exceptional content experiences to our customers. This partnership reflects our dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve service delivery and network efficiency.”
