Egypt’s Qme Secures $3M in Seed Funding to Revolutionize Digital Infrastructure Across MENA

Qme, an Egypt-based B2B SaaS startup, has raised USD 3 million in a seed funding round led by AHOY, a multisector tech company, alongside angel investors from the GCC. Founded in 2022 by Maged Negm, Qme provides an AI-powered digital infrastructure that integrates booking, queuing, payments, and analytics solutions to address inefficiencies across various sectors in the MENA region.

The new capital will allow Qme to enhance its technology stack, expand its market reach, and build strategic partnerships. Since launching commercially in late 2023, Qme has served over 100,000 customers across healthcare, banking, and government sectors. The platform has notably reduced average waiting times from 116 minutes to 14 minutes and decreased phone booking no-show rates to below 1%. Additionally, Qme’s digital solutions have helped eliminate outdated paper-based systems, saving around 50,000 square meters of paper.

This investment marks a critical milestone for Qme, with AHOY’s involvement providing access to advanced technology and operational expertise, particularly in sectors such as logistics, aviation, and traffic management. AHOY’s CEO, Jamil Shinawi, has joined Qme’s Advisory Committee to further support the startup’s mission to improve customer experiences and eliminate inefficiencies.

As part of AHOY’s Startup Builder Initiative, Qme also aligns with the goal of empowering 10,000 entrepreneurs and 30,000 software developers in MENA by 2030, aiming to foster innovation across key sectors such as transportation, aviation, and smart city development.

With this funding, Qme is well-positioned to lead the digital transformation in the MENA region, enhancing how businesses and governments interact with their customers through seamless, technology-driven experiences.
