Nepal Telecom Launches 4G Network in Dhyargaun, Jajarkot District

Nepal Telecom (Ntc) has officially launched its 4G mobile network in Dhyargaun, located in Jajarkot district, marking a significant step in expanding high-speed mobile broadband services in rural areas. The service, introduced on Falgun 05, 2081, also includes a 2G network, ensuring reliable voice service alongside 4G data access.

This launch brings modern communication capabilities to the locals and visitors in Dhyargaun, enhancing internet browsing speeds with 4G, while the 2G network continues to serve essential voice functions in remote areas. Ntc also introduced VoLTE service on the 4G network, though compatibility issues may limit its full benefit to some users.

The new 4G service extends coverage across various areas, including ward numbers 9, 10, and 11, Rawatgaun, Baniyagaun, Damka, Rajika, and surrounding regions. This marks the first time residents in these areas can access advanced communication services.

Ntc’s expansion is part of its broader goal to bring 4G services to all local levels in Nepal. The company aims to provide nationwide coverage by FY 2080/81 and sees its 4G infrastructure as a stepping stone for future 5G network deployment.
