Thales has deepened its partnership with Qatar Airways by expanding its in-flight entertainment (IFE) offerings, including the award-winning FlytEDGE cloud-native solution for the airline’s new A321 NX fleet. The collaboration also aims to enhance operational excellence by establishing a local service hub in Doha.
For years, Thales has been Qatar Airways’ trusted IFE provider across several aircraft platforms, including the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, A350, and A380. The new partnership extension reflects the airline’s commitment to maintaining cutting-edge technology and capabilities. Qatar Airways’ Chief MRO Officer, Ali Al Saadi, emphasized the importance of continuing to innovate and ensure that their technological infrastructure remains at the forefront of modern aviation.
Thomas Got, Vice President of Aviation Global Services at Thales, highlighted the growth of their relationship, stating that the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) paves the way for the development of a local service hub in Doha, which will further support the airline’s expanding fleet and ambitions for future growth.
