EDGE Group entity KATIM, known for its ultra-secure communications and data protection solutions, has entered into a partnership with Nokia to enhance secure telecommunications networks for mission-critical and defence applications in the UAE. This collaboration aims to create networks for Military 5G and 5G in-a-box applications, focusing on security, reliability, and compliance to support national security and critical sectors.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) by Didier Pagnoux, CEO of KATIM, and Mohamed Samir, VP of Middle East Mobile Networks at Nokia.
The partnership leverages KATIM’s expertise in ultra-secure communications and Nokia’s technological leadership to address the evolving security demands of tactical networks. According to Didier Pagnoux, “This collaboration combines KATIM’s security capabilities with Nokia’s technological advancements to create solutions tailored to the growing security needs in the defence sector.” Mohamed Samir from Nokia emphasized the importance of secure and resilient communication solutions, stating that the partnership will help deliver world-class networks that enhance national security and operational efficiency.
