Visa has launched its Tap-to-Add Card technology in Jordan, providing a secure and simplified way for cardholders to add Visa contactless cards to their digital wallets with a simple tap on their mobile devices. This innovative solution addresses security concerns by eliminating manual entry errors, reducing vulnerabilities, and ensuring faster provisioning of card credentials.
The Tap-to-Add Card generates a unique, one-time code validated by Visa’s Chip Authenticate service, providing advanced security and convenience. Mario Makary, Visa’s Vice President and Cluster Manager for Levant, emphasized that this technology would drive the adoption of digital wallets in Jordan by addressing key security concerns while simplifying the user experience.
Since its introduction last September, the Tap-to-Add Card feature has gained global traction. In Jordan, over 542 tokens have been enabled, showcasing its ability to streamline and secure digital wallet provisioning. The feature benefits all stakeholders in the payments ecosystem by offering a faster, more secure way to add cards to digital wallets, reducing the risk of provisioning fraud and improving transaction approval rates.
Visa’s Tap-to-Add Card follows industry security standards, offering seamless integration with existing digital wallets and enhancing digital payment experiences globally.
