Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched the ‘MyDubai Communities’ digital platform, aimed at enhancing social bonds and offering citizens, residents, and visitors a centralized space to connect through interest-based communities. This platform, a key part of Dubai’s 2025 Year of Community initiative, allows users to join around 100 communities, fostering a sense of belonging, creativity, and connection. The platform’s launch reflects Dubai’s continued focus on enhancing the quality of life, promoting tolerance, and creating inclusive spaces for collaboration.
The initiative builds on the success of the #MyDubai campaign, launched in 2014, which encouraged residents to share their daily lives on social media, showcasing Dubai’s unique identity. The MyDubai Communities platform offers an opportunity for users to discover and join groups based on their interests, whether related to culture, sports, wellness, or professional endeavors. It promotes Dubai’s status as a global hub, creating opportunities for residents to engage in diverse activities, strengthening the city’s multicultural fabric.
This initiative aligns with the broader goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which focus on ensuring a high standard of living, enhancing community engagement, and positioning Dubai among the top global cities for living, working, and visiting.
The platform is accessible via the website mydubaicommunities.com and is also featured on Instagram and TikTok under the @mydubaicommunities handle. Through this user-friendly platform, Dubai is set to continue its vision of excellence, integrating people at the heart of every initiative.
