e& Egypt has introduced its first instant international money transfer service through the e& Cash digital wallet, revolutionizing the way remittances are received in Egypt. This new service allows users to receive money instantly and securely from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, eliminating the need to visit branches or rely on intermediaries.
As the first service of its kind within the regional e& Group network, e& Egypt is offering a fully digital and seamless experience. This launch is part of a broader strategy that aligns with the Central Bank of Egypt’s initiatives to promote financial inclusion and reduce reliance on cash transactions.
Developed in collaboration with Banque du Caire, e& Egypt’s banking partner, the service enhances access to digital financial tools for millions of users, especially those receiving remittances from family members abroad. With just a single tap, customers can access their funds instantly, providing a faster and more convenient alternative to traditional remittance methods.
Ahmed Yehia, CEO of e& Financial Technology and Digital Applications, highlighted that the launch reflects e& Egypt’s dedication to delivering innovative financial solutions that prioritize security, speed, and ease. He emphasized that the ability to send instant transfers from the UAE and Saudi Arabia is a key milestone in the company’s mission to foster financial inclusion and provide value to customers.
“This service is about more than just speed—it’s about building trust and improving accessibility for our users,” Yehia stated.
The service is now available to all e& Cash wallet users in Egypt. In addition to the convenience it offers, customers can also win prizes of up to EGP 1 million as part of the launch campaign. e& Egypt plans to expand this service to additional remittance corridors soon.
