GE Aerospace has entered into a five-year agreement with Royal Jordanian to provide a suite of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions aimed at enhancing the airline’s operational efficiency, fuel consumption, and safety measures. The collaboration marks the first SaaS partnership between the two companies and is part of Royal Jordanian’s broader digital transformation efforts.
Under this partnership, Royal Jordanian will integrate GE Aerospace’s advanced flight operations software, including Fuel Insight and Safety Insight, to analyze flight data and improve decision-making across its operations. The Fuel Insight solution will enable the airline to optimize fuel consumption, reduce costs, and lower carbon emissions, supporting sustainable aviation practices. Safety Insight will enhance the airline’s risk management processes by identifying and mitigating potential safety risks, ensuring high safety standards across the fleet.
Royal Jordanian’s Vice Chairman and CEO, Eng. Samer Majali, expressed confidence that this collaboration would help the airline improve performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. GE Aerospace’s Regional General Manager – EMEA for SaaS, Rami Aynati, emphasized that the partnership would provide actionable, data-driven insights critical for success in today’s competitive aviation market.
The partnership builds on decades of collaboration between the two companies, with GE Aerospace also supplying 18 GEnx-1B engines and services to power Royal Jordanian’s expanding Boeing 787-9 fleet. This collaboration reflects GE Aerospace’s longstanding support for airlines in the Middle East, where it continues to deliver technology and expertise to optimize operational performance.
Royal Jordanian, established in 1963, remains a leading airline in the region, modernizing its fleet to enhance fuel efficiency and minimize environmental impact while providing high-quality services to passengers.
