Rabbit Expands Into Saudi Arabia with Regional HQ in Riyadh

Rabbit, the Egypt-born quick commerce (q-commerce) startup, has launched its operations in Saudi Arabia with the establishment of a regional headquarters in Riyadh. The company aims to deliver 20 million items across Saudi Arabia’s major cities by 2026, leveraging its network of dark stores for rapid, tech-driven deliveries in 20 minutes.

Founded in 2021, Rabbit is known for offering groceries, food, cosmetics, and more through its hyperlocal e-commerce platform. Backed by regional investors such as Lorax Capital Partners, Global Ventures, and Raed Ventures, Rabbit’s expansion into Saudi Arabia follows significant success in Egypt, where it has seen 8.5x revenue growth in the past two years.

The company’s strategic expansion into Saudi Arabia targets the rapidly growing online grocery market, which currently stands at a lower penetration rate compared to other markets like the UAE and US, providing significant growth potential. Rabbit’s focus on AI-powered recommendations, speed, and operational efficiency aims to transform the grocery shopping experience in the Kingdom while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, such as developing the retail sector and attracting foreign investment.
