KABUL: The Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA) has initiated telecommunications services for returnees at the Omari Camp in Torkham. ATRA spokesperson, Jalaluddin Shams, confirmed that mobile network antennas have been activated for the camp, and temporary SIM cards are being distributed to the returnees.
The temporary SIM cards, which are valid for four months, come with free internet and call minutes. Returnees are required to legally register their SIM cards using electronic ID cards within the four-month period. ATRA teams are distributing three free SIM cards to each migrant family at the camp.
