Zain Iraq has signed a landmark memorandum of understanding with KRAFTON Europe, the global gaming giant behind popular titles like PUBG: Battlegrounds, to empower Iraqi youth and revolutionize the gaming and esports landscape. This partnership aligns with Zain Iraq’s commitment to meeting evolving consumer needs by embracing cutting-edge gaming and esports technologies.
The MoU will see both companies collaborate on launching initiatives under the Zain esports brand, enhancing the player experience and nurturing the growth of Iraq’s gaming and esports sectors. The partnership will bring KRAFTON’s premium gaming portfolio to Iraqi subscribers while also organizing events and activities tailored to the aspirations of the local esports community.
KRAFTON, established in 2007 as a South Korean video game holding company, develops immersive and engaging gaming experiences through multiple studios. In addition to PUBG, the company’s diverse gaming portfolio spans PC, mobile, and console platforms, captivating a global audience.
