The 2025 edition of GITEX Africa surpassed all expectations, according to Moroccan Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni. The tech fair attracted over 52,000 visitors, including technology leaders, startups, and government officials from across Africa and beyond. This year’s event further established Morocco’s role not just as Africa’s digital hub, but also as a global tech epicenter ready for future projects.
Visitor numbers rose 16% compared to last year, with participants from around the world attending the event. The fair featured 1,450 exhibitors from 138 countries, including 740 startups, 260 of which were Moroccan. The Moroccan government supported over 200 of these startups by covering their participation costs.
Speaking at the House of Representatives, Seghrouchni highlighted Africa’s strategic advantages in leading digital transformation, noting the continent’s young, tech-savvy population and increasing investment in the sector.
