FRiENDi Mobile, a brand operated by digital services company Beyond ONE, has introduced a mobile wallet service in Oman called FRiENDi Pay. The service enables both local and international money transfers and is available for residents and citizens across the country.
Licensed for operation in Oman, FRiENDi Pay integrates financial features into the existing mobile network platform. Core functions of the wallet include peer-to-peer transfers, utility bill payments, international remittances, and wallet top-ups. The service can be accessed via a multilingual app interface, offering an easy-to-use platform for diverse users.
FRiENDi Pay supports international remittances to countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Philippines, alongside local transaction capabilities. Users can also top up their wallets, send money in-app through features such as photo-based transfers and in-chat money sending, designed to enhance usability in everyday scenarios.
A representative from FRiENDi Pay explained that the service was created to meet the evolving needs and preferences of consumers in Oman, focusing on accessibility and functionality over mere technological features. Transactions are secured through encryption and comply with Oman’s financial regulatory framework.
This launch is part of Beyond ONE’s broader strategy to expand digital financial services within its customer ecosystem in Oman, where the company’s telecom services currently serve more than 750,000 users. Additionally, Beyond ONE is working on expanding its digital services across Latin America, with recent deployments like the Enea Integra traffic management platform in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile to improve data services and user experience for Virgin Mobile’s LATAM customers.
