Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Supports 127 Startups in Q1 2025, Strengthening Dubai’s Tech Hub Status

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, part of the Dubai Chambers network, has announced the establishment and growth of 127 digital startups in Dubai during the first quarter of 2025. This marks a 135% increase from the same period in 2024, underscoring the chamber’s continuous efforts to bolster Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for technology startups.

In Q1 2025, the chamber hosted four major events designed to empower the local business community, foster talent development, build key partnerships, and streamline the process of doing business in Dubai. Furthermore, 729 individuals benefitted from the chamber’s digital upskilling programs, which focus on advancing specialized talent in cutting-edge technological fields, ensuring a future-ready workforce.

The chamber also continued to support companies seeking to launch or expand their operations in Dubai through its ‘Business in Dubai’ platform. This platform provides a comprehensive range of institutional services and business matchmaking tools, connecting companies with potential partners, investors, and clients. In the first quarter of 2025, the platform welcomed 20 new service partners, increasing the total number of partners to 114 across various service categories.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, emphasized the chamber’s dedication to positioning Dubai as a global leader in the digital economy. He highlighted the city’s world-class infrastructure and forward-thinking regulations as essential elements in supporting the growth of both emerging and established digital companies. He also stressed the chamber’s role in driving innovation and digital entrepreneurship.

To further strengthen Dubai’s international profile, the chamber conducted 12 global roadshows during Q1 2025, a significant increase from the three roadshows held in the same period last year. These roadshows showcased Dubai’s digital business ecosystem and highlighted the importance of Expand North Star, the world’s largest startup and investor event, which will take place from October 12-15, 2025, at Dubai Harbour. The chamber’s promotional campaigns in the United States, Canada, and Australia attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors, and tech professionals, emphasizing Dubai’s status as a prime destination for digital business expansion.
