General Assembly and Brinc Partner to Strengthen Bahrain’s Tech Ecosystem

General Assembly (GA), a leader in tech education and career transformation, and Brinc, a globally recognized venture accelerator for groundbreaking startups, have announced a strategic partnership to foster a dynamic tech community in Bahrain. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to address key needs within Bahrain’s rapidly growing tech sector.

This partnership leverages General Assembly’s expertise in developing top-tier talent in critical fields such as software engineering, user experience (UX) design, and data analytics, alongside Brinc’s established ecosystem for nurturing early-stage startups. The goal is to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship, providing Bahraini individuals with the skills to contribute to the digital economy and offering startups access to qualified professionals and a growth-oriented environment.

By merging GA’s proven ability to cultivate in-demand tech skills with Brinc’s resources for scaling early-stage ventures, the partnership seeks to create a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals and entrepreneurs. The alliance also provides startup founders with the mentorship and tech skills necessary for success in the competitive digital landscape.

Ahlam Oun, Director of General Assembly, expressed excitement about the collaboration: “This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to develop a strong tech talent base in Bahrain. Working with Brinc, we will unlock new opportunities for professional development and fuel technological progress in the country by connecting talented individuals with innovative startups.”

Husain Haji, Managing Director of Brinc MENA, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “This agreement marks an exciting step forward for Bahrain’s startup and tech ecosystem. By working together, Brinc and General Assembly will provide startups with skilled professionals and a place to apply their talents, unlocking a wealth of opportunities for the country’s digital economy.”

Since its establishment in 2014, Brinc has made significant strides in various sectors, including Web3, AI, energy, sustainability, and logistics. Through its successful programs, including the Mashroo3i Program with The Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Brinc has helped aspiring Bahraini entrepreneurs bring their business ideas to life.

The new MoU expands Brinc’s access to General Assembly’s global network of mentors and trainers, enriching the Mashroo3i Program. Meanwhile, GA’s students and graduates will benefit from direct engagement with Brinc’s startup pipeline, creating opportunities for collaboration, internships, and talent placement within Bahrain’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. This enhanced collaboration will strengthen both organizations’ ability to support innovation, talent development, and entrepreneurship in Bahrain.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in Bahrain’s tech ecosystem, laying the foundation for a future of continued innovation and growth.
