The Tax Authority of Oman has signed an agreement with Omantel to implement an electronic invoicing system, marking a significant step in the country’s efforts to modernize its tax system. The agreement, signed today in Muscat, aligns with Oman’s push for comprehensive digitization in line with global trends.
The agreement was signed by Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority, and Eng. Sami bin Ahmed Al Ghassani, Chief Technology and Digital Officer of Omantel.
This initiative is a milestone in the governance of the tax sector, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving regulation of public revenues. Omantel, with its extensive expertise in the technology sector, will serve as an innovative digital design center for the e-invoicing system, further strengthening the country’s digital transition and supporting sustainability efforts.
