Huawei ICT Competition 2024–2025 Global Final Concludes with Record Participation and Innovation

The Closing & Awards Ceremony of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024–2025 Global Final was held in Shenzhen, marking the event’s 9th edition with a record 210,000 participants from over 2,000 universities across 100+ countries. After national and regional rounds, 179 teams from 48 countries competed in Practice, Innovation, and Programming tracks.

Top honors were awarded to 18 teams from China, Algeria, Brazil, Philippines, Morocco, Nigeria, Serbia, Tanzania, and Singapore. Grand Prize winners included teams from Bulacan State University (Philippines), Beijing University of Technology (China), University of Kragujevac (Serbia), and Moulay Ismail University (Morocco) in the Innovation track.

Practice Competition winners spanned network, cloud, and computing tracks, with notable teams from Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (China), Federal University of Technology Minna (Nigeria), and iACADEMY (Philippines).

Special awards recognized diversity and sustainability: Women in Tech honored all-female teams from Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Kenya; the Green Development Award went to Ghana; and the Most Valuable Instructor Award was given to 18 educators across 10 countries for outstanding ICT education contributions.

Ritchie Peng of Huawei emphasized the competition’s alignment with the Intelligent World 2030 vision, focusing on cloud computing, AI, and green development to address real-world challenges. The event also featured the AI Accelerating Education Transformation Summit and launched the AI capabilities of Huawei’s ICT Academy Intelligent Platform to advance digital education.
