Daraz has played a pivotal role in transforming Bangladesh’s e-commerce landscape over the past nine years, says AHM Hasinul Quddus Rusho, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO). Serving 8 million monthly active users, Daraz focuses on delivering a trusted, authentic, and simplified online shopping experience through initiatives like Daraz Mall.
Rusho highlights that e-commerce is becoming integral to daily life nationwide, extending beyond cities to all 64 districts, supported by a robust logistics network and partnerships ensuring fast, tailored deliveries even in rural areas. Major campaigns such as the 6.6 Big Eid Sale offer discounts up to 80 percent and unique giveaways like an Eid cow contest, all while maintaining reliable delivery, low charges, and standard return policies.
Customer support is a priority, with 24/7 virtual assistants, live chat, and phone services addressing queries promptly across markets. The company is also expanding its seller network outside Dhaka, fostering decentralization through seller training, anti-fraud measures, and digital skills education via Daraz University.
Looking ahead, Daraz aims to build a comprehensive digital commerce ecosystem that empowers both consumers and sellers to thrive in Bangladesh’s evolving digital economy.
