Omantel and GlobalTech Corporation have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a strategic partnership focused on AI and Big Data services. The agreement signals mutual interest in advancing technological innovation and lays the groundwork for a future collaboration expected to include a revenue-sharing model.
Leveraging Omantel’s extensive infrastructure, customer base, and data services alongside GlobalTech’s AI and Big Data expertise, the partnership aims to create AI-driven solutions for sectors such as compliance, risk mitigation, fintech, retail, and HR. Once finalized, the collaboration is anticipated to enhance GlobalTech’s AI capabilities, accelerate digital transformation, and generate sustainable growth.
The initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040, supporting economic diversification and technological advancement. GlobalTech plans to introduce a broad AI service portfolio designed to help clients streamline operations, reduce costs, and boost competitiveness, while fostering innovation and job creation in Oman.
Mehdi Al Abduwani, Director at GlobalTech, emphasized the transformative potential of AI and Big Data and the opportunity to expand regional market reach beyond telecom. Saleem Ahmed Abdullatiff, Vice President Enterprise at Omantel, highlighted the company’s commitment to empowering businesses with next-gen AI solutions and strengthening Oman’s position as a regional tech hub.
