During his official visit to Algiers, President Paul Kagame praised Algeria’s role in advancing education for Rwandan students in artificial intelligence and data science. He highlighted the strong bilateral relationship and acknowledged Algeria’s National School of AI, which currently hosts five Rwandan students.
The visit included private discussions with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, focusing on boosting intra-African trade, knowledge sharing, and strategies for national recovery. Both leaders underscored the critical importance of African unity amid global uncertainties and shared a vision to deepen cooperation.
Rwanda and Algeria signed 11 new agreements spanning AI, air transport, education, agriculture, and investment sectors. President Kagame also announced plans to open a Rwandan diplomatic mission in Algeria aimed at enhancing economic ties and private sector collaboration.
